The 52nd edition of the BCGE Tour du Léman à l’Aviron was freshly launched this morning at 8 a.m. sharp, in light rain and a little wind, off the Société Nautique de Genève.
Eighteen teams set off – a total of 88 courageous rowers – to complete the 160-kilometre round-the-lake race.

The yolettes were launched very early this morning at the Club.
A double-handed coxed crew from northern Germany set off at 7 a.m., an hour ahead of the fully-crewed boats.
In fact, the Hildesheimer Ruderclub crew set off with three rowers instead of five: two were unwell and were unfortunately unable to take part in the competition.
At the first buoy crossing in Versoix, the “44West” crew was leading the race, followed by last year’s winning team “eNeRGie BaWü”, having changed its name and some of its rowers.
