For its 50th anniversary, the Tour du Léman à l’Aviron is delighted to welcome Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE) as an official partner. Eline Rol, who is preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympics, will be the event’s ambassador. A great party to close the celebrations of the hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Société Nautique de Genève.

Geneva, August 23, 2022 – The Tour du Léman à l’Aviron is delighted to announce a new partnership with BCGE, Switzerland’s leading bank. The world’s longest rowing regatta on a lake has a new name: BCGE Tour du Léman à l’Aviron!

We are delighted to welcome BCGE as an official partner, and look forward to celebrating 50 years of the Tour with this excellent news,” says Stéphane Trachsler, President of the Organizing Committee. ” BCGE’s support is recognition of the values that rowing conveys: performance, endurance and team spirit.

Following on from its partnership with rower and world champion Eline Rol, BCGE is naturally committed to supporting the Tour du Léman à l’Aviron. The event is organized by the Société Nautique de Genève, a pioneering water sports club founded in 1872, to which Eline Rol belongs.

The aim of the Tour is to row a boat with 4 rowers, non-stop and without assistance, over a distance of 160 kilometers. The race promotes performance, endurance and team spirit, three of the bank’s key values.

The concept of discipline, present in sport as well as in financial and transactional management, leads to stability, performance, confidence and achievement, ” explains Pierrette Jaton Klopfenstein, member of BCGE’s Executive Board. ” Discipline is central to rowing and banking, and it’s with this in mind that this partnership makes sense.”

BCGE’s support is ideal for promoting rowing, a very demanding sport, whether in competition for Eline Rol or during an extraordinary event with the BCGE Tour du Léman à l’Aviron.
